چکیده

Indoor path loss models are playing an important role in the design and planning of the 4 generation of the mobile networks. Moreover, it is an important component of system level simulators used to evaluate and test the network performance before it has been established. Many propagation models were proposed for this purpose. Most of these models are for macro and micro cellular networks. Small cell which is known as femtocell has been launched for future networks and it is wildly deployed by the mobile operators around the world. The available propagation models’ accuracy is at question when applied to femtocell design and engineering. This paper attempts to quantify the accuracy of these models by studying and comparing seven different propagation models for four different implementation scenarios at 2.6 GHz and for different separation distances. Keywords— Indoor propagation models, Femtocell, system level simulator, Free space loss, LTE network.

Indoor Propagation Measurement for Wireless Systems Operating in 2 . 45 Ghz Ism Band

For a planning of indoor Wireless LAN systems working in the ISM band, the signal propagation prediction is needed. In this article, the measurement campaign based on two types of measurements at 2.45 GHz is introduced. The first type of the measurement was a classical narrowband signal level measurement within indoor scenario without presence of people. The aim of this measurement was to find ...

Empirical indoor - to - outdoor propagation model for residential areas at ( 0 . 9 - 3 . 5 ) GHz

This paper introduces analytical expressions for the modeling of path-loss and shadow fading in residential indoorto-outdoor scenarios. The formulas have been calibrated using channel power measurements at the radio frequencies of common cellular systems and are thus suitable for channel modeling in femtocell networks. The expressions presented here can be used as a simple propagation model in ...

Wireless Channel Characterization: on the Validation Issues of Indoor Rf Models at 2.4 Ghz

This paper presents a case study of a Wi-Fi system operating in the frequency of 2.4 GHz. Two certain types of WLAN environments are examined: a home environment (typical residence) and a complex office environment. Experimental acquired data, for both single floor and multiple floor scenarios, are compared with the theoretical values provided by an existing plethora of indoor RF models, which ...
